Plain English Update

I have completed uploading and annotating the first 11 chapters of 2 Nephi. Since I do not plan on rendering the Isaiah chapters in plain English, the next batch will consist of 2 Nephi 25-33. That might not happen for a while, however, as I have other projects to work on for a while. In the meantime, feel free to add your contributions to the wiki project. I will be monitoring it during my hiatus.

Elam appears in Nephi¹'s quotation of Isaiah¹. Hamath is compatred to Arpad, suggesting it has also been conquered in a manifestation of the Lord's power. It is again mentioned along with Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, the islands of the sea as one of the locations that the remnant of his people will be gathered from. It might be identified with modern Hama, (Arabic: حماة, meaning fortress) a city on the banks of the Orontes river in central Syria.
